Liana currently works with the Women’s Perth Glory team and Perth Demons Football Club. Liana also worked with East Fremantle Football Club for three seasons from development players through to Senior league team.

Background

Liana  graduated with Master of Dietetics from Curtin Uni in 2015 and completed the Sports Dietitians Australia Sports Nutrition Course in 2017. Liana’s experience in Dietetics extends across a range of nutrition and health issues, including weight management, diabetes, irritable bowel syndrome and sports nutrition.

Liana has completed several education courses and updates including

  • SDA Sports Nutrition Course, 2017
  • Talking with Parents about Children’s Weight – Health Professionals WA, 2015
  • Poster Presentation at DAA Conference – Supplement Use of General Public, 2015

Liana is available Wednesdays at West Coast Health and Fridays at Beaufort Physio and for presentations.

Jasmine – Accredited Sports Dietitian

Jasmine is an Accredited Practising Dietitian and an Accredited Sports Dietitian

CrossFit

Jasmine is an avid Crossfitter. She is currently training to compete in local CrossFit competitions and to ensure she remains fit and healthy. Her weekly training consists of both CrossFit and Olympic lifting sessions. All of her training sessions involve strength, power, skill and metabolic condition components. Jasmine was also a ballet and contemporary dancer for 15 years.

It is from her experience within these sports that Jasmine is able to understand the diverse energy needs, nutritional requirements and training cycles of individual athletes in order to provide more of an personalised nutrition plan and approach for individuals involved within these sports.

Background

Jasmine graduated with a Bachelor of Nutrition and Dietetics from the University of the Sunshine Coast in 2016 and went onto complete her Sports Dietitians Australia Nutrition Course in 2018. Jasmine’s experience in Dietetics extends across a range of nutrition and health issues, including weight management, chronic disease, diabetes, irritable bowel syndrome, eating disorders and sports nutrition.

Jasmine is available Mondays at Ascend Physio, Tuesdays and Beaufort Physio and Thursdays at Midland Physio and presentations.

Simone – Advanced Sports Dietitian

Simone Allen is an Accredited Practising Dietitian, an Advanced Sports Dietitian and was a Board Member of Sports Dietitians Australia for11 years.

Simone works with several sporting groups including being the Sports Dietitian for West Coast Eagles, WA Ballet and Perth WildCats. Simone is also lecturing in Exercise and Sports Nutrition at Curtin Uni.

Background

Simone was a Rhythmic Gymnastics Coach for 15 years, travelling annually with the WA State team, and appreciates the importance of realistic and appropriate advice.

Simone loves racing in the Busselton and participates most years in the  Half Marathon and Jetty Swim in February each year and has completed Busso Ironman 70.3 in 2014 , 2015, 2017 and 2018. Simone also completed Busselton Ironman 2018 in 12:08.

Simone is available Tuesdays at West Coast Health and Thursdays at Ascend Physio and for presentations

Claire – Accredited Sports Dietitian

Claire is an Accredited Practising Dietitian and an Accredited Sports Dietitian.

Background

Claire has an extensive background graduating with a Masters of Nutrition and Dietetics from Flinders Uni, SA in 2006. Claire later completed the Post Graduate Diploma of Sports Nutrition through the International Olympic Committee in 2014. Claire’s undergrad degree was a Bachelor of Applied Science (Human Movement) giving her a depth of understanding into all that is sport. Claire’s experience in Dietetics extends across a range of nutrition and health issues, including Bariatric surgery, eating disorders, diabetes, IBS and food intolerances, and sports nutrition.

Claire has been involved as a competitor, coach and in other roles in a wide range of sports.

Claire is available for individual consults on Monday mornings at Ascend Physio and for presentations. Claire is currently on maternity leave and will return January 2020.

Abbie – Media and Administration

Abbie Reilly is an Accredited Nutritionist currently completing her Master of Dietetics course at Curtin University. Abbie has been working in administration and accounts for 7 years and currently works as our administration manager in bookkeeping and some social media.

Abbie has a keen interest in sports nutrition and after completing her postgraduate degree would like to train to register as an Accredited Sports Dietitian. You may see Abbie helping out at a variety of Nutrition Works events and services including the Busselton 70.3 expo stand, hydration testing and workshops.
